Chilled out afternoons at the Arbory

One of the main challenges I've found with moving to the CBD while our renovation is underway is the lack of dog friendly places to eat and hang out with Jax. True, there are a number of cafes that have sidewalk seating, but with the amount of traffic, noise and foot traffic around, these don't tend to be the most relaxing if you want to do more than grab a quick bite.

One of the best places I've found where both humans and fur-bubs alike can chill out, grab decent food and even a cheeky cocktail (or 3!) is the Arbory. Located right on the Yarra with a view of Southbank while you eat - it doesn't get much more quintessentially Melbourne than that.

It's a very popular spot for afterwork drinks, so if bringing a furry friend definitely avoid Thursday and Friday nights as the crowds and noise could be a bit overwhelming. We've been a couple of times in the afternoon on weekends and never have trouble finding a seat - and neither does Jax!

They do breakfast, lunch and dinner - my favourite has been the haloumi and mushroom burger; yum! More details on website at http://arbory.com.au
